Pic's

Perhaps they are surfs, and not socialists.

Perhaps they [we] are surfs, and not socialists. Buzz made a comment suggesting the term "serfdom" rather than "socialists". I like it. It does offer a better description of the socialists supporting masses.

However, the government now rearing its head like Obama and CO. but not limited to them alone are socialists. The supporters of socialists government are  (dimwits or democrats) unwitting supporters of a populace of surfs.

Furthermore, we have all lost control of our government. Our servants are now our Masters (keepers, or Lord). When our government got too big for its britches, we didn't beat it down; we became subservient to our new Lord................We are all in the clutches of "Serfdom".

NRA

Notice the NRA link on the right side. I am a member (despite my reservations of belonging to a group that would have me as a member).

Seriously, for a small fee its well worth the return, of a large powerful group advocationg our right to keep and bare arms.

I suspect Obama and CO. will target 2nd amendment rights soon.

Lets help those that help us!

The NRA believes America's laws were made to be obeyed and that our Constitutional liberties are just as important today as 200 years ago. And by the way, the Constitution does not say Government shall decree the right to keep and bear arms. The Constitution says 'The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.'

The Haitian radio whoa-whoa.

The news flash on the radio: "Only half of the police are on duty, the other half is dead, or did not show-up. The 4 thousand escaped prisoners have armed themselves, gun fire is common in the city."

Perhaps, an armed survivalists is not such a crazy idea?

Brazilian Wandering Spider-----world’s deadliest

 8 eyes and 2 fangs

This deadly fellow is showing up in grocery stores, in OR, WA and i have heard CA, It is very deadly and has been stowaway in bananas from South America, headed to your grocer, till you give him a lift to your place (unless he kills you in the produce isle first). The story below is focused on one found in OK, but they have been encountered in the west coast, yet they are getting very little press.

Look-out, he can be anywhere.

The world’s deadliest spider, the Brazilian Wandering Spider, was found in a bunch of bananas in a Whole Foods Store in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Read 3/19/2009 update at article end. See photos and a video below.
Brazilian Wandering Spider

Brazilian Wandering Spider (Photo)
Beware purchasing fruit bundled in plastic bags or plastic containers with air holes. Some deadly spiders can survive long transport from many exotic places around the world, and take-up residence in your friendly local grocery store. A Whole Foods employee in Tulsa recognized the spider, sometimes known as the “Banana Spider,” as the Brazilian Wandering Spider nestled in a bunch of Honduran bananas, and was able to capture it. It now resides at the University of Tulsa’s Animal Facilities Department. Director Terry Childs says the Brazilian Wandering Spider is responsible for more human deaths than any other spider, and the bite can kill a person within 25 minutes.

The Brazilian Wandering Spider, genus Phoneutria - Family Ctenidae, was first discovered in the Amazon jungle, but it is often found in the rainforests of South and Central America. It eschews webs and burrows and instead, wanders the jungle floor looking for insects. It does not eat bananas, but hides in the leaves of the plant, and does enjoy the insects found around them.
This large spider, capable of a 4 to 5 inch leg span, is hairy with strong, spindly legs. They move quickly, they have eight eyes, and one of their most distinctive features are red jaws which they display when angered.
The Brazilian Wandering Spider is sometimes confused with the Tarantula, but there are few similarities other than their hairy bodies. Tarantula’s are are not poisonous, but they can have a painful bite. The Brazilian Wandering Spider is considered an aggressive and active hunter. These spiders eat large insects, small mice and lizards. The babies eat fruit flies and small insects.
The Brazilian Wandering Spider hides in dark places during the day time. Closets and boxes (maybe shoes) are preferred once one of these creatures manages to get inside a home or garage. Rubbish outside a dwelling harbors this spider, and the leaves of bananas make a favorite homestead.
The Phoneutria species of the the Wandering Spiders is considered vicious and deadly. The venom has a potent neurotoxin - acting on the nervous system. The bite is excruciatingly painful due to a high concentration of serotonin and a highly active venom. Symptoms include immediate pain, cold sweats, heart irregularities and in men, an erect and painful penis for possibly four hours, known as “priapism,” is considered a medical emergency. There is an anti-venom for the Brazilian Wandering Spider, but the question is, will your local health department have it when you need it? The answer is, in the U.S., probably not. These spiders are believed to bite more people than any other spider species.
Finding deadly spiders in grocery store fruit is not all that unusual. Black Widows like to hide in bunches of grapes, and there are numerous reports of finding them in the fruit bowl once the grapes arrive home. The Brazilian Wandering Spider, or Banana Spider, was reported in a “banana consignment” delivered to a UK primary School - not the place you want to find the “World’s Deadliest Spider,” as the venom is particularly deadly for small children. “Cautious” rummaging through the fruit displays at your grocer, and thorough check of the fruit before toting it home, is a good idea.
Update 3/19/2009: A University of Tulsa spokesman reports that the Brazilian Wandering Spider has been destroyed. Terry Childs, the director of the Animal Facility at the University, said he was urged to destroy the spider by TU officials who were concerned for the safety of those on campus. A conflict is brewing between the University and Barry Downer, the curator of Aquariums and Herpetology at the Tulsa Zoo, who said the Zoo would have housed the spider, out of public view, and preserved it for study purposes. Downer believes that the spider was not the deadly Brazilian Wandering Spider but a harmless-to-humans “Huntsman”spider. The Zoo is questioning how and why the spider died and why the spider-body will not be made available to the Zoo. Tulsa University says they are looking into the matter.

Now I get it.

I was just reading a speech by Ronald Reagan. I think I understand why he was the Great Communicator, the key. When he was speaking to to us he was good at explaining the situation, the how and why, consequences of other actions. Then when he offers his solution, it makes sense. Its easy to understand, and even easier to agree when you understand a persons logic. In fact Reagan's way of speaking lent the feeling he was talking with you, not at you.

When Obama makes a speech, he over uses strong dramatics, also to me it seems obvious he doesn't know what he's talking about. His ignorance is proven when facts are compared to his statements. And, he is talking at us.

Ronald Reagan-Gov. health care

This is the transcript from Reagan's speech on health care. If your interested you can find the speech on utube. (I dont know how to load utube links yet). His thoughts are amazing, his insight then, and now relating  to problems of our day are uncanny.

Ronald Reagan: "I have been asked to talk on the several subjects that have to do with the problems of the day. . . .

"Now back in 1927 an American socialist, Norman Thomas, six times candidate for president on the Socialist Party ticket, said the American people would never vote for socialism. But he said under the name of liberalism the American people would adopt every fragment of the socialist program.

"But at the moment I'd like to talk about another way because this threat is with us and at the moment is more imminent. One of the traditional methods of imposing socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It's very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. Now, the American people, if you put it to them about socialized medicine and gave them a chance to choose, would unhesitatingly vote against it. We have an example of this. Under the Truman administration it was proposed that we have a compulsory health insurance program for all people in the United States, and, of course, the American people unhesitatingly rejected this.

"Perhaps a little background on the subject of socialized medicine will prove helpful to you. To begin with, socialized medicine simply means compulsory national health insurance, medicine controlled and administered by the federal government; financed through compulsory taxation. For many years, an attempt has been made to socialize the practice of medicine through the Social Security tax mechanism.

"The doctor begins to lose freedom...First you decide that the doctor can have so many patients. They are equally divided among the various doctors by the government. But then doctors aren’t equally divided geographically. So a doctor decides he wants to practice in one town and the government has to say to him, you can't live in that town. They already have enough doctors. You have to go someplace else. And from here it's only a short step to dictating where he will go...All of us can see what happens once you establish the precedent that the government can determine a man's working place and his working methods, determine his employment.

"The problem with a voluntary social insurance system is that it would almost certainly lead to a form of “adverse selection” in which high-wage workers opted out of the system leaving only low-wage workers to participate. Such “adverse selection” is invariably a poison-pill for any insurance-based system, which depends on the widest possible pooling of risk. Or, to put it another way, if a form of federal taxation were voluntary, how many people would volunteer to pay it?"

History

For those that don't know about history...... here is a condensed version.

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The two most important events in all of history were:

1. The invention of beer, and

2. The invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer.

These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:

1. Liberals

2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement.

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.

Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known as girlie-men.

Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.

Over the years Conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.

Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare. Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels t han their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, athletes, Marines, and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America . They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.

Here ends today's lesson in world history.......

This is a stolen article******I would give credits, but the guy I stole it from stole it from another.......I have no idea who the original author was......It is very good though.

Ronald Reagan; Quote:

March 31, 1976 (from his "To Restore America" speech, which included one of many references to his experiences during the Depression)

"No one who lived through the Great Depression can ever look upon an unemployed person with anything but compassion. To me, there is no greater tragedy than a breadwinner willing to work, with a job skill but unable to find a market for that job skill. Back in those dark depression days I saw my father on a Christmas eve open what he thought was a Christmas greeting from his boss. Instead, it was the blue slip telling him he no longer had a job. The memory of him sitting there holding that slip of paper and then saying in a half whisper, 'That's quite a Christmas present,' it will stay with me as long as I live."

Let the depression begin!

Ready or not here it comes, rather here it is. Have faith you know what to do. Just keep on, keeping on. Don't expect it to get better for many years. You have experience, because you have been living it for over a year.

See people believe the Depression just appeared as though one day the curtain opened and the market crashed, and jobless people were standing in line at the soup kitchen. In reality, it took time to reach a "depression" level. Today we have food stamps, now a debit card, so the lines have formed in the grocery store, and the Social Services Offices. The destitute wandering men looking for work are a thing of the past. Now, the destitute wonder can remain destitute without leaving their home. Job hunters wander on-line for employment prospects, till they get evicted. Then Its tent city.

At the worst point of the Great Depression, in 1933, one in four Americans who wanted to work was unable to find a job. Further, it was not until 1941, when World War II was underway, that the official unemployment rate finally fell below 10%. This massive wave of unemployment hit before a food stamp program and unemployment insurance existed. There were few government programs designed to help the poor or those in temporary difficulty. Further, most wives did not work, so if the husband lost his job, all income for that household stopped. An equivalent rate of unemployment today would cause less economic hardship because of the variety of programs (often inspired by the Great Depression) that cushion unemployment and poverty.

Gee, sounds like today's financial report, 10% unemployment and at the worst part of the depression........Wouldn't want to see that!!!! O but wait, I am seeing that, and much worse.........On the bright side we are still going down.......Even better we will be the winners!!!! We are going to beat the lows of The Great Depression!!!!!!!! O-Goody!!!!!! WE wouldn't want to finish second place!!!!!

They mention this was before programs like "food stamps" how right they are !!!! ****Waves *** to the author........But he didn't mention those with jobs are now working 4 months a year just to pay taxes, and some much more..... Most didn't have taxes in1933, I think less than 3% if they had taxes at all!!!! (is your spouses income going to keep you afloat? after taxes? But what about the divorcees? less taxes, CS and Alimony deductions? OOPS?)

Also they didn't manipulate un-employment statistics back in '33......Like they manipulate them today. They are reported lower than actual numbers for today's "unemployment insurance" which we didn't have in '33.

Don't worry: bend over the government will drive.

Scott Brown

Hey not surprising, but there are whispers of Scott Brown for 2012, Presidential Election........

I have a slogan: "The differences are black and white; What can Brown do for YOU"

(remember the UPS commercial. I stole part of it.)

"There you go again Jimmy"

I remember being mesmerized by Reagan in his debate with Carter When he said"there you go again Jimmy" I was rolling.........He made Carter look the fool as was necessary.
It amazes me to read Reagan's quotes he knew the score even when the American people didn't......They knew enough to elect him but they didn't see the big picture. People for the most part dont see the big picture today. Reading his quotes today, one might conclude he is here now speaking on topics of today.

Quote Ronald Reagan:
"Recession is when your neighbor loses his job. Depression is when you lose yours. And recovery is when Jimmy Carter loses his."  Replace "Carter" with "Obama" and its a perfect match!

Ours was the first revolution in the history of mankind that truly reversed the course of government, and with three little words: 'We the people.' 'We the people' tell the government what to do, it doesn't tell us. 'We the people' are the driver, the government is the car. And we decide where it should go, and by what route, and how fast. Almost all the world's constitutions are documents in which governments tell the people what their privileges are. Our Constitution is a document in which 'We the people' tell the government what it is allowed to do. 'We the people' are free. This belief has been the underlying basis for everything I've tried to do these past eight years.

Man is not free unless government is limited.... As government expands, liberty contracts.

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it.  If it keeps moving, regulate it.  And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Our federal tax system is, in short, utterly impossible, utterly unjust and completely counterproductive, [it] reeks with injustice and is fundamentally un-American... it has earned a rebellion and it's time we rebelled.

Impeachment

Impeachment

I'm not sure I believe the election process is real, I suspect its rigged. But, assuming one were to entertain the notion that the acting president and other elected officials were truly elected as they claim, then WTF, are they doing?

They have thrown money at everything with a hand out and a current yacht club membership, The cash for clunkers was a bust, for every 4k incentive to buyers it cost an additional 20k in administration costs, Further evidence the government cant even run a give-away program efficiently, The total costs per vehicle was 24,500.00. This is insane! Southern Ca is claiming a rise in home values for the last year, its not much, but sales rose something like 20k per sale, above sales from '08. They are crediting the government home buyer program for the increase. Well woopty fucking do! If they offered a credit of 8k per house it will likely costs 5 times that in administration expenses, So again the tax payers can pay 50k per house sale to allow a sucker to go in hawk to the bank for an inflated mortgage at a still bloated housing market, I'm sure there will be  another bailout to absorb the defaults when the participants of this program default. Besides more than half of the current foreclosures have yet to hit the market.the foreclosures are active  but the hammer has yet to fall. The banks have several reasons to stall the defaults, but there are so many houses with mortgages over a year delinquent, The housing is not going to improve, the banks reluctance is still another scam to prop a market by false information. In addition to the ones waiting on the final action of foreclosure,We are starting a whole new round of foreclosures in addition to the others, there are more people loosing there jobs, and their houses will follow the  tide.

It is interesting to note the only "programs" that had a hint of improving the economy although to expensive because of government dead weight administration, were the housing buyer program and cash for clunkers, even though the later was engineered to benefit the democratic supporting unions, A pay back for the election. The difference with these programs were the beneficiary. The bailouts that had no positive impact on the economy, the money was paid to the Ellette high-rollers, The money is lost to wonderland. In contrary the programs that put money in to the working class did hit the economy, and did provide short term gain. Obviously these housing and auto programs are failures of epic proportions and asinine in logic of common sense, and costs more than ever was or will be gained; the point remains to get money in the working class give it to the working class.

Now, we know programs are more expensive to administer, than could ever be gained. If they were stupid enough to think otherwise, the latest programs offer a good example to those that didn't know. I have known for years the solution to this problem is in tax relief for the working class. The beauty is no expensive programs to take from others and spread it around, but rather not taking the money in first-place, would have marvelous improvement. I suspect our turmoil would end in a year if income tax was reduced by 75%.

The thing is all these programs were not intended to improve the economy, I can only speculate the deceptive purposes. With this in mind the programs are probably a success in doing what was intended. They were not intended to improve the economy, the tools and resources have been present to correct our economic peril. One would need to be stupid to believe the intent of any bailout or program was intended to improve our economy. Perhaps they are that dumb, maybe they think government money is a never-ending source of wealth. California has believed for years the solution to problems was to increase the tax and subsidized the pore, all the while skimming more money from taxes collected to support the ever growing agency to manage programs, then creating yet more programs to equalize the impoverished that they created by overtaxing in the first place............They are in financial ruin, and still dont get it, they are slating several other tax increases. unfortunately the socialistic ideas favored by CA, are working there way to the other states of the nation. It doesn't take a genius to realize the same concept will bring the same problems.

CA is only still barely afloat today, because of the resources they are taping from the rest of the nation. Now when the US adopts the same practice of CA on a national scale, and the same financial problems that plague them will will plague the US as a hole, there will be no life raft.

Now look at us, we have several wars to deplete our resources, We are on a verge of the next Great Depression. The dollar is sinking lower with the passing of every day, The inflation is climbing faster than the dollar is falling, Have you seen the price of food lately. Speaking of food our production has hit a record low, The big problem with this is food export is basically the only export we do. World trade is the key to a strong dollar, If the dollar continues to stumble OPEC will be forced to use a different currency. this will happen anyways but the sinking dollar will certainly expedite this. No-one wants to trade oil in a Zimbabwe type of currency. If the dollar is dumped for national currency, its the end of all dollar based assets including the US holdings. Bonds are just paper with numbers. Cash will go the way of confederate currency, its still in your hand, but the country promising its value is not intact to redeem its value. US bankruptcy, negates currency. We have the largest debt in the WORLD.

Our president has spent the first half of his first year in office campaigning to explain what a good job he is going to do. The second half of the first year has been absorbed in health care, knowing we cant afford the programs we already have. Now, with the election of Senator Brown Obama's baby is likely going the way of the titanic. good riddens. But, a year wasted in this country's most turmoils of times. I dont like the guy but still, in all fairness, he is a complete failure. Nothing he has done, has been any benefit. Not one of his programs were even marginally successful, All stimulus has been a black hole. If a man with this performance worked for your company would you keep him another year?Or another 3 years to see if he is capable of bringing your company from bankruptcy, and if he cant your company will be destroyed beyond repair. I think we need to ponder risk to reward. Look at it this way; If Obama were a stock, would you by-it? I think I would be looking for a stock with better stability in the past, and more promise for the future.........But, that's just my money. Better stock and Presidents are available.

I think people are going to need to look at the realistic need for Impeachment.

News to me

News to me

Scott Brown was suscessful in his bid for the Senate seat.
The part that's news to me, was apparently Mass. already has a statewide health care plan. It appears all there residents are covered by state health care. Brown was vocal in his opposition to National Health Care. I think this was the core of his victory. Isn't there state saying "live free or die"? Mandatory health care and living free are an unlikely pair to boast. In fact there polar opposites.......

I'm wondering, was Brown elected because they already have a "Health Care Plan" and they didn't want to subsidize the country, or is it because people are waking to realize Conservative values are necessary? Maybe they just like him better, and their is no other meaning. Either way, I'm glad Brown is the winner!

Of course all this is just smoke and mirrors, to divert our attention while were being looted by Washington. We are all on course to slavery by taxation......

Horse of note:

Egyptian Arabian, This is the fastest horse I have ever rode. It is like being strapped to a missile. I'm sure he is in 50mph+ range. I used him to heard rough-stock horses. I could drive a heard at a full gallop and Que him to split or cut-off, he would bolt past the horses we were running, He was disadvantage with a rider but none of the heard ever out ran us.....Ever. In fact I have never seen him beat. I got him from some folks that bought him at a Claiming Race.

I also used him to rope horses, we had some wild mustangs we roped (they were legal owned). Those bastards, We ran them for 4 hours. That's action, running full speed with a lariat in one hand the reins in the other. I took a spill that same day, The Mustang cut right to the side, I was leaning forward to rope, dont remember who or what happened, but I went over his head slammed the earth and he jumped me, I still caught his hoof in my hip. I was dazed and confused, next thing I knew his wet nose was in my face.

Now thats a good horse, usually they run-of when thy loose a rider, Not him he came back to get me. I got back on and we got our mustangs.

After I rope'em he can take a large horse down like RIGHT NOW. He cuts to the side and pulls 'em to the ground fast.

This is my stepmother taking him for a ride.

You can see the wind generators in  a couple of pic, Wind generators are the way to go, even if the wind is occasional or low speed. If the tower is tall the wind speed is much higher. The higher you go the better the wind.
